The Originals Adds Elyse Levesque as a Recurring New Witch We’re still a bit shocked at how much we’re enjoying “The Originals,” and if you are, too, you’ll be interested in hearing about the latest witchy woman to join the cast in a recurring role.

Per TVLine, Elyse Levesque (pictured; Slumber Party Slaughter, “SGU Stargate Universe”) has been cast as the redheaded witch Genevieve and will first appear in Episode 1.13. The seductive and deceptive Genevieve returns to New Orleans with a mysterious agenda and some unfinished business with Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis).

Considering that a deep, dark secret was hinted at by the former lovebirds in last night’s mid-season finale, we’re assuming Genevieve is somehow involved in that, but only time will tell.

“The Originals” returns on January 14th with Episode 1.10, “The Casket Girls.”
