Movies based on stories by Edgar Allan Poe are nothing new. Movies about the short life of the macabre writer, however, are in shorter supply. One of Edgar Allan Poe's biggest fans is pushing to get a biopic about the famed writer into production. Because when you think Edgar Allan Poe, you think... Sylvester Stallone?

In what has to be one of the greatest genre stories in recent years, the horror genre’s most prolific writer, Edgar Allan Poe, will be given a royal ceremony beginning on October 7th with a public viewing of his body at the Poe house and continuing all the way to October 11th with a funeral procession and service.

We here at Dread Central love Gris Grimly and his beautifully macabre contributions to the horror genre. And while I don't speak for everyone at Dread Central when it comes to the brilliant works of Edgar Allan Poe, how can you not agree that his rich and atmospheric poetry is perfectly matched alongside Grimly's twisted mind?

Richmond, VA - Richmond, Virginia, is a city of contrasts. Signs of the modern world abound, alongside pieces of its rich history.
