I always loved everything involving monsters as a kid. That's probably part of the reason "Masters of the Universe" and "Inhumanoids" still hold a special place in my heart. There's a good chance that if I hadn't been too old for kiddy toy toons by the time "Monster Force" came along in 1994 I'd have been a big fan of it too.
The Haunted World of El Superbeasto looks to be one step closer to making its way into DVD collections everywhere; however, before you get too excited (if you would get excited, that is) note that the disc doesn't have an official release date yet.
It’s a great time to be a Friday the 13th fan. The slasher classics are slowly making their way to Blu-ray while the Deluxe Editions of Parts IV-VI are equipped with better extra features than I ever thought possible. And hot on the heels of these awesome releases, Paramount has announced the specs for the last two Crystal Lake killing sprees, The New Blood and Jason Takes Manhattan.

Horror fans would think Hell has finally frozen over. Think about it: Lost footage from Night Breed has been found, Universal has finally decided to release Phantasm II onto DVD (in what I'm reasonably sure will be an R-rated bare-bones release, but still), and now the specs have dropped for Sony's upcoming super-stacked DVD and Blu-ray editions of Night of the Creeps! Here's the goods on what we can expect when the DVD drops on October 20th. Sixty minutes of behind-the-scenes featurettes:

Does Universal have another horror title in its library as heavily requested as Phantasm II? I doubt it.
I've said it a hundred times, and I'll say it a hundred more ... If you're not watching "Supernatural", then you're missing some truly quality horror on TV. Don't discount the Winchesters as mere pretty boys; these dudes know how to whip some demon ass! If you did miss it, you ought to be thankful for DVD and Blu-ray. Season 4 is set to come home on September 1, 2009.
It's another skimpy week for DVD lovers, but that's okay. It'll give you a little extra time to save up for next week's Friday the 13th blow-out!
So many people working in the horror industry are there because they grew up being a fan. However, for writer/producer Dan Farrands, his reason for pursuing his dream came from a fan letter response he received when he was 14 years old. “I had written this letter to Frank Mancuso Jr. tell

Yesterday we told you about MPI Media Group distributing IFC's DVD releases. Filmmaker Duane Graves has since sent me details about the August DVD release of his The Wild Man of the Navidad, "a Southern fried creature feature with a slasher movie twist." They really ought to put that line on the cover.
Paramount Home Entertainment has dropped another batch of deluxe edition DVDs and Blu-rays on so as per usual the question beckons -- Is it worth our bucks to double-dip or, in several cases, triple-dip? We've got the answers you're looking for!
