Stephen King Guest Stars on The Drew Barrymore Show [Videos]

The Shining and The Stand author Stephen King was recently a guest on Drew Barrymore’s new show fittingly called The Drew Barrymore Show. And during his segment, he reminisced with the actress about making Firestarter and more.

Check out the videos below.

Blumhouse and The Vigil director Keith Thomas’ remake of Firestarter will hopefully shoot later this year. Scott Teems (Halloween Kills) adapts the new film. It centers on the Department of Scientific Intelligence. They never anticipated that two participants in their research program would marry and also have a child. Charlie McGee inherited pyrokinetic powers from her parents. They had been given a low-grade hallucinogen called ‘Lot Six’ at college. Now the government is trying to capture Charlie and also harness her powerful firestarting skills as a weapon.

They also teamed up on Cat’s Eye. Lewis Teague directed the 1985 horror anthology from a screenplay written by King. It comprises three stories. The first two are adaptations of short stories from King’s Night Shift. And the third is unique to the film. The three stories are connected only by the presence of a traveling cat, which plays an incidental role in the first two and is a major character of the third. Co-stars included James Woods, Alan King, Robert Hays, and Candy Clark.
