The 12 Disasters of Christmas Count Down to a 2012 Yulepocalyse

Only Syfy could take something like the biblical Star of Bethlehem, said to have appeared in the sky over the manger in which Jesus Christ was born, and twist it into the basis for a Yuletide end-of-the-world disaster flick. Top 10: Outbreak Movies

With The Crazies (review here) remake bursting down our door, I thought it would be a good opportunity for Dread Central to look back at some of the most memorable virus/outbreak movies of the genre’s past. Doomsday Returns This July!

Universal has finally set a date for the DVD release of Neil Marshall’s Doomsday (review), a movie that, at best, divided fans as to its validity since it was really one big homage. But damnit, it was done the right way if you ask me!

Dinner for Fiends: The 4th Wall Drinking Game!

It's time for another edition of Dinner For Fiends, a rather intimate edition, almost a Foycast with a special guest, as this DFF consisted solely of myself (The Foywonder, duh!), the ever salty Uncle Creepy, and "Mr. 4th Wall" Andrew Kasch. Everyone else was either sick or MIA the day we recorded the show.

Rhona Mitra Joins the Underworld

All of you who bitched that Rhona Mitra’s turn in Doomsday was too similar to Kate Beckinsale’s role in the Underworld movies must’ve been predicting the future, as Sci Fi Pi discovered that Mitra is co-starring in Patrick Tatopolous’ Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans.
