‘Halloween 4’ Director Dwight Little On Bringing Michael Myers Back To Life [Watch]

Dwight Little Halloween 4

In 1988, Dwight Little made history by directing Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers, which was, shockingly, the return of Myers. As we know, the franchise ditched the villain in Halloween 3 to fulfill John Carpenter’s original goal of a series not about Myers but about the holiday in general. However, of course, fans were mad and wanted Michael back. So, executive producer Moustapha Akkad presented Little with the task of bringing the masked villain back to horror. But what did that actually mean? Little shared that and more in our recent interview about his new memoir Still Rolling: Inside The Hollywood Dream Factory.

Read the full synopsis for his memoir below:

In his new memoir, Still Rolling: Inside the Hollywood Dream Factory, Dwight Little talks about make-or-break creative battles, Hollywood intrigues, unpredictable studio executives, and temperamental actors are all documented in colorful detail. He takes readers along on a movie-making adventure that is by turns funny and brutally honest. There are many on-set interactions with well-known producers and stars along with detailed descriptions of film shoots from the wilds of India to the banks of the River Kwai.

Dread Central spoke with Dwight Little about his new memoir, his favorite horror project he’s ever worked on, his experience working with franchise horror, and more.
