Director Shares Never-Before-Seen Pic of Deleted Scene From Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

One of my favorite horror-comedies of the past few decades has been Scott Glosserman’s found footage flick Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon.
If you’re like me and find the film to be an utter delight from wall-to-meta-wall, then you’ll know the film originally featured a wrap-around involving the surviving members of the documentary team standing trial for their participation in Vernon’s rampage.
For years this was merely a bit of horror legend, but today we have proof the scenes were shot as director Scott Glosserman shared a rare pic on Facebook over the weekend.
In the post, Glosserman wrote: “Yes, in response to recent inquiries, there was an ill-fated courtroom scene. Here’s proof in a never-before-seen production still, shot 11/28/04 – seems like yesterday…”

The film was directed by Scott Glosserman from a script he co-wrote with David J. Stieve and starred Nathan Baesel, Angela Goethals, Robert Englund, Scott Wilson, and Zelda Rubinstein.
Synopsis:
Nice, normal-looking Leslie Vernon (Nathan Baesel) has an obsession with movie-style slashers like Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger. Leslie decides to follow in the footsteps of his heroes, and, ever the self-promoter, invites a documentary filmmaker (Angela Goethals) and her crew to follow him around as he constructs his own grisly legacy.
