For those who love peeking into the behind-the-scenes workings of a film, today sees the release of Guillermo del Toro’s The Devil’s Backbone from Insight Editions. Written by Matt Zoller Seitz and Simon Abrams, the book is an in-depth look into the making of del Toro’s 2001 fantasy horror film that features interviews with the director, cinematographer Guillermo Navarro, composer Javier Navarette, and more. Also included in the book are examples of concept art, unit photography, and more.
