Meet David Slade's Fubear & Meatdog

Not content to rest on his directorial laurels, David (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night) Slade has created something called Fubear that has definitely piqued my interest … and probably will yours, too.

Horror Masters Go Comedic for Xbox 360

This is why I love having an Xbox 360 and have yet to see the point in the PS3 aside from its use as a Blu-ray player. Variety got word this morning that this fall a series of short films under the banner “Masters of Horror Take on Comedy” will show up on the console free of charge. The cool thing?

Night Wins the Day

Ah, it’s good to be right! Sony’s 30 Days of Night officially owned the weekend box office with a somewhat strong $16 million debut, easily beating out the Ben Affleck thriller Gone Baby Gone and other cinematic head-scratchers like Why Did I Get Married?

30 Days and Beyond for Raimi?

Sam Raimi has been a busy man this year. The director made sure Spider-Man brought in the bucks and he looks to do the same with another comic book-turned-film this year, 30 Days of Night (review). Raimi is acting as producer on this project, but his presence can be felt.

Screamfest Gets 30 Days Early

While we’re still waiting for the full schedule to make itself known to the world, the folks behind Screamfest LA are letting some info slip here and there regarding the upcoming festival. For fans of movies that look like they’re going to kick ass, which I count myself among, they just announced a special advance screening of David Slade’s 30 Days of Night on October 16th, three days prior to its theatrical release!

Fresh Blood Trails

As promised, FEARNet released the first part of their 30 Days of Night: Blood Trails project to the world wide web today! This online-only video is a prequel to the upcoming feature film bearing the same name (sans Blood Trails of course) that is set for theatrical release on October 19th.

New Director for Neverwhere?

So Stardust opened this past weekend and, despite having every reason to look like it would do well in this post-Harry Potter/Chronicles of Narnia world, it was only able to pull in about $9 million. That’s not a lot, but hopefully word will spread and more will get out to see it, cause I would hate for it to have a negative impact on other Neil Gaiman-penned projects.

30 Days Spin off Named, Dated

We’ve been mentioning it off and on for a while now, but finally the 30 Days of Night spin-off set to air exclusively on Fearnet has a title.

30 Day Shorts Details

Someone I know has seen 30 Days of Night, a rough cut of it anyway, and said it kicks major ass and is completely worthy of the title it is adapted from. That is a great relief to me because if the flick ended up sucking (pun intended), I would be even more disenchanted than usual.

30 Days of Night Trailer!

All right, talk about a good weekend for trailer debuts! First I Am Legend (see it here) now Sony has released the official 30 Days of Night trailer!

First Pic From 30 Days

30 Days of Night creator Steve Niles just posted a new blog on his MySpace page with the first pic from the movie adaptation of his incredibly popular comic, scanned from the latest issue of Wizard.
