David Goyer
Horror and history are once again getting ready to collide but this time with some artistic flair! A leading man has been found for the new series "Da Vinci's Demons", and we've got your details right here.
We've seen dozens of fake designs for Legendary's upcoming Godzilla flick, and all have proved to be fake. Recently, though, the folks at Toho Kingdom got their hands on two new images of what the creature could look like that are indeed the real McCoy.
In the northeast corner of the Dread Central offices, we have a tiny shrine built to the king of all monsters, Godzilla. Each morning we leave an offering of mini-military vehicles in a tiny basket at his mighty feet, just praying that the new American flick will actually be good. Speaking of which, there's been some more movement on its front.
Let us be clear ... the image that you're about to see depicting what could be Legendary Pictures' take on Godzilla is completely and totally UNCONFIRMED. That being said ... damn it's cool, but we wouldn't hold our breath.
Hi, Legendary Pictures? Yeah, it's me, Uncle Creepy. Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just writing to you in regard to your upcoming remake of the classic film Godzilla.
The news that David Goyer has been hired by Legendary Pictures to pen Godzilla doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Isn’t there some unwritten law in Hollywood that the prolific Mr. Goyer must at some point have his hand in crafting every popular geek property in Hollywood?
Ever since Ghost Rider opened in 2007, it seems like the only person clamoring for a sequel has been Nicolas Cage. Now word is coming out that Columbia is so desperate to get a Ghost Rider sequel into production before the franchise rights revert back to Marvel's new owners, Disney, that they may rush it into production with a skull not Cage's bursting into flame.
Like it or not, Nicolas Cage is coming back for a second go 'round as Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze. And it actually sounds like it could be decent.
Last we heard about Ghost Rider 2, David Goyer said he hadn't signed on yet but plans were already under way to base the sequel on a script he had written previously. Now today comes word that he is confirmed as a producer for the next installment and will polish his nine-year-old screenplay (including reworking its hard R-rated nature for a PG-13 rating), and while the continuity won't necessarily get an overhaul, the tone is certainly shifting.
Nicolas Cage has been talking about a Ghost Rider sequel for over a year now (see an earlier story by Foy from 9/4/08) and nobody paid him much mind, but now the trades are getting into the act and throwing around David Goyer's name to boot.
Ah, The Unborn . So misunderstood. So maligned. Whatever you thought of David Goyer's film, one thing is for certain: It's going to look amazing on Blu-ray and DVD. Get ready for a good look at the specs and box art for both.
Early artwork for David Goyer's The Unborn surfaced today along with some scant details on what to expect. Curious?
DVD Active scored the first look, and it seems as if both the DVD and the Blu-ray will be home to two versions of the film -- theatrical and unrated. Not much else is known, but I'm sure we will find out the skinny soon enough!
A twisted kind of review of David Goyer's latest stinker from Montreal madman Rick Trembles!
