After THQ closed its doors, the future of many of its franchises remained in doubt, including its acclaimed Darksiders series. Thankfully, the series was picked up by Swedish publisher Nordic Games, giving it a secure future.

And while a new game would have been preferable to a remaster (especially given the constant flood of remasters today) but as Darksiders II was something of a sales disappointment when originally released, it does seen fitting that a new generation will now be able to experience Death’s journey to redeem his brother War.

Death comes for us all when Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition is released on Playstation 4 and Xbox One on October 27.
