It was back in August of 2009 when Universal acquired the rights to adapt Steve Niles' Criminal Macabre, which features drug-infused anti-hero detective Cal McDonald, into a feature film; and yes, things have been moving rather slowly, but we finally have an update!

We've been on the fence as far as covering the wildly popular "Game of Thrones", just mentioning the show here and there as it's seemed appropriate, but this latest news to cross our desk is just too cool to ignore: Dark Horse Deluxe is partnering with HBO on a vast "Game of Thrones" product line debuting in the spring of 2012, leading up to the show’s second season premiere in April. The Movie Reporter, IESB.net, unearthed this interesting nugget – Universal Pictures has picked up the rights to Dark Horse Comics’ The Secret under the exclusive three-year partnership the two companies entered into in early 2008.

It's no secret my pen-name of Uncle Creepy was inspired by an old comic book from the Seventies that is near and dear to my heart -- Creepy. This July the comic will see a resurrection of sorts coming from the good folks at Dark Horse.
