Tell Tale Heart Tells Tell Tale Lies

The work of Edgar Allan Poe has been adapted and re-adapted for the screen many times, and it doesn’t seem like that will ever stop. The man has quite the following and rightly so. Just ask Joe Carroll (remember when that show had something to do with Poe?). In any event, another one is on its way.

Deadline reports that Beau Mirchoff (MTV’s “Awkward”) and Alexa PenaVega are set to star in Tell-Tale Lies, a modern take on Edgar Allan Poe’s classic chiller.

Synthetic Cinema International and Stargazer Films have begun production on the film directed by Colin Theys from John Doolan’s script. It revolves around four friends at a prestigious university whose promising futures are jeopardized when they become connected to the accidental death of a classmate. When another student says she knows about their involvement, the friends panic and start to plot her murder.

Renee Olstead, Michael J. Willett, Bailey De Young, Sara Kapner, Ethan Phillips, Anthony Del Negro, Sean Patrick Thomas, and John Heard round out the cast.
