In Dread Central's effort to promote independent horror, have we got the goods on a great horror film festival in Las Vegas! From May 12-16th Sci-Fi Center at 2520 State Street, Las Vegas, NV 89109, will be hosting The Polly Staffle Grindhouse Fest (aka PollyGrind), which includes 30 different films with five world premieres, seven Las Vegas premieres, and one U.S. premiere. There will also be a ton of music videos and trailers and more horror-related goods for you to feast your eyes on.

When it comes to horror conventions, we here at Dread Central are pretty damned jaded. We always make it a point to show up to party and even give away tons of free stuff at events all over the country. Speaking personally, during my convention going tenure I thought I had seen it all. I don't think I've ever been happier to be wrong.

We reported a few months ago that the lost footage from Clive Barker's Nightbreed had been found. Shortly after that an announcement came that the uncut print of the film would be shown to fans in attendance at the March HorrorHound convention in Indianapolis. The film was shown to a standing room only crowd and we've got the goods on what was added!

There's LOTS of horror coming to the Lone Star state this April, and we've got the early word on what movies you can expect to see playing during the Texas Frightmare Film Festival.

We're exactly two months away from the second annual Monsterpalooza, which is returning to the Marriott Burbank Convention Center April 9-11, 2010. To help get people fired up for the event, which features special effects artists from the horror industry along with their many works, the promoters have revealed the expanded guest list along with a slew of presentations and demos that will be taking place over the weekend.

You. Yes, you reading this. You wouldn't be a fan of say, oh, someone by the name of Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees, would you? What's that? Yes? Well, if you're in the LA area in May, you NEED to be getting yourself to Creation's Weekend of Horrors!
