The countdown is on until the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and we have your chance to attend the LA premiere of the film as part of Lionsgate’s 12-week initiative for #CatchingFire, which they are calling #TickTock moments!
Dread Central is one of 75 sites working with the studio on this giveaway for the November 18th Los Angeles, CA, premiere. Why 75? Because the Quarter Quell in Catching Fire marks the 75th Hunger Games of course!

For example, #TickTock12 (corresponding to the first week of the countdown) is already live, and in addition to announcing that advance tickets to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will go on sale Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 12:00 noon ET / 9:00 AM PT, it was also revealed that the first song from the official The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack, the track “Atlas” by multiplatinum recording artist Coldplay, is now available on iTunes. Curious? Watch the lyric video below, and then start counting the days to September 30th because that’s when the ticket winners will be announced at 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT.
The film’s release date is November 22, 2013.
The advance tickets will be available through Fandango, MovieTickets.com, and most exhibitor websites.

Synopsis:
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire stars Academy Award® winner Jennifer Lawrence alongside Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Claflin, and Jena Malone with Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland. The film is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Simon Beaufoy and Michael deBruyn, based upon the novel by Suzanne Collins, and produced by Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Hutcherson). Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 50 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
