Sci-Fi Spectacular 5Dread Central, in conjunction with the folks behind the fifth annual Sci-Fi Spectacular taking place Saturday, March 19th, at the Music Box Theatre in Chicago, has three pairs of tickets to the event to give away to a trio of lucky winners!

To enter, send us an E-MAIL HERE including your FULL NAME AND MAILING ADDRESS, and we’ll leave the winners’ names at the box office — just be sure to bring an ID!

Here are the details of Sci-Fi Spectacular 5:

The fifth year of the fantastic Sci-Fi Spectacular returns this March with special guests Mick Garris (Critters 2, The Stand) and Chuck Russell (The Blob, Nightmare on Elm Street 3) in attendance!

From noon ‘til late. Doors open at 11am.

14 hours of sci-fi/horror films and fun are all wrapped into the Music Box Theatre! Here’s the current schedule:

11:30am – Trailer Trash (Vintage Sci-Fi/Horror/Crazy 35mm trailers)
Noon – Not of this Earth (Early Roger Corman Classic!)
1:45pm – Krull (80’s Awesomeness!)
4:15pm – Critters 2 (Director Mick Garris in Person!)
6:15pm – Naked Lunch (David Cronenberg Craziness!)
8:30pm – Rubber (Midwest Theatrical Premiere!)
10pm – The Blob (‘88 Remake! Director Chuck Russell in Person!)
Midnight – Event Horizon (Rare Screening!)

Also: Short Films – Including Greg Nicotero’s “United Monster Talent Agency,” Del Harvey’s “Blood Kin,” Lowcarbcomedy.com’s “Evil Balloon,” and Long Pork’s Premiere of “Zombie Chef Episode 2.”

Next week sees the release of the indie horror film Island Zero and since we’re heading into summer and we’re feeling like venturing to a lovely island ourselves, we thought it’d be fun to offer three of you the chance to win the film’s poster signed by Tess and Josh Gerritsen! To enter, all you have to do is fill out the form below and you’ll be sorted!

Inhabitants of a fishing island off the coast of Maine find themselves mysteriously cut off from the outside world after the ferry suddenly stops coming. All the phones have gone dead, and every boat sent to the mainland fails to return. When dead bodies turn up along the water’s edge, the hardy band of survivors must find out who, or what, is killing them.

Written by best-selling author Tess Gerritsen and directed by her son Josh, Island Zero stars Laila Robins, Adam McLaughlin, Teri Reeves, Anabel Graetz, Richard Sewell, Stephanie Atkinson, and introducing Elaine Landry. It was produced by Mariah Klapatch.
