We’re fast approaching the start of Fangoria’s Trinity of Terrors, their first ever Halloween weekend convention at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, which runs October 30th-November 1st. This unparalleled event will feature celebrity appearances as well as signings, screenings, vendors, exhibitors, panel discussions, special FX make-up applications, video gaming, tattooing, collectibles, special VIP parties, and much more. This all builds up to the special Halloween night performance in the Pearl Concert Theater by multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning alternative metal masters SLIPKNOT. Perhaps the most electrifying and dangerous band on the planet, they promise a truly unforgettable performance on Halloween night.
Guests appearing at the event include such titans as Roger Corman, Malcolm McDowell, George A. Romero, John Waters, Jeffrey Combs, Ken Foree, Tony Todd, Dee Wallace, and many more.
As to the panel discussions and film screenings, this isn’t your typical convention “panel room viewing”–panels and film screenings will be presented in the beautiful Brenden Theatres auditoriums, featuring state-of-the-art projection and sound. Brenden has 14 auditoriums at the Palms, equipped with IMAX, 3D, and more. They are also the home of the renowned CineVegas Film Festival.
Over a dozen new films will be screened, including George A. Romero’s latest zombie opus SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD (review here), Ti West’s terrifying frightfest THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL (review here), the critically acclaimed documentary NIGHTMARES IN RED, WHITE AND BLUE (review here), the must-be-seen-to-be-believed BLACK DEVIL DOLL (review here) in a special midnight screening on Friday night, and 2009 Shriekfest winner DARK HOUSE starring Jeffrey Combs.
