Colin Salmon Looking for Retribution in New Resident Evil

Remember the good old days of the Resident Evil films before Paul Anderson lost his mind and riddled them with nonsense? There was no 3D, ridiculous slow motion battle sequences, or seventy-five costume changes per movie for Milla. There were, however, zombies and passable acting. One of said passable actors is now returning to the franchise, and hopefully he’ll bring with him a bit of the common sense that was missing completely from the last two flicks.
On his official Twitter account actor Colin Salmon, who played “One” in the first film, dropped the following on his fans …
“Confirmed I will be shooting new Resident Evil movie. Paul Anderson has written an amazing script.”
There! Excited now? Um … hello?
Milla Jovovich will of course be returning to the franchise once again to play Alice, joining Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine. Oh, yeah, and Paul W.S. Anderson is returning to direct the film from his own screenplay.
Expect lots of bullets and Matrix-style slow motion. Look for Resident Evil: Retribution in theatres on September 14, 2012 from Screen Gems.
