The free-to-play MMORPG Dark Expanse will suck gamers around the world into the black holes of its universe on January 1st. Players will explore the dark corners of the galaxy in hopes of conquering everything in their paths! Read on to learn more.

From the Press Release
On January 1, 2013, Dark Expanse players will be able to enjoy the new Andromeda 3 galaxy instance. The Andromeda galaxy was specifically designed for a relaxed style of play and is open to new and experienced gamers. Along with the new galaxy will come a new game enhancement called “Rescue the Natives”. This enhancement is a dynamic event in which the players have an option to rescue, ignore, or conquer the natives of a previously empty planet. Together with the additional seven new non-player character races and player-controlled supernovas, a Dark Expanse galaxy is an interesting place to be.

As a bonus, Deorc Enterprise, the developer of Dark Expanse, is holding the “Refer A Friend” contest to win a signed copy of Steven L. Kent’s latest book, The Clone Sedition. The contest will run until 12:00 midnight (GMT), January 31st, 2013.
