One of the many cool things about Paranormal Activity's success is that the supernatural subgenre is roaring back in a big way. I’m sure every major studio in Hollywood is looking through their scripts to find comparable material. Overseas the doors are opening as well with one such flick, The Possession of David O'Reilly, well under way!
With REC 2 (review here) enjoying a successful opening weekend in its homeland, buzz has already started that there will be a third entry into this now unexpected franchise.
And the Paranormal Activity (review here) news just keeps on rolling in. A new fanpage for the film has opened, and it has a really interesting image as its landing photo that sports the words "IN THEATERS SEPTEMBER 25th". Getting excited yet? I knew you would be.
Those of you waiting anxiously to find out when and where you'll FINALLY be able to see Oren Peli's Paranormal Activity (review here) needn't wait much longer as we've just found out release plans will be announced
In an act of complete sanity in a truly insane film landscape, Paramount, the studio that landed Oren Peli's Paranormal Activity (review here), has lost interest in its plans to set loose a remake of the little film that could - scare the hell out of you
The excitement is building around Oren Peli's Paranormal Activity, and as a result there seems to be a new news story about it almost every couple of days. The latest one comes from the official Paramount website on a page which is no longer active (weird). On it, it stated the film would be beginning a limited theatrical run on September 25th.
And the news about Oren Peli's Paranormal Activity keeps steadily pouring in. This time it's good news for UK horror fans as the flick officially has a release date across the pond.
Let your fears slip away. Oren Peli's Paranormal Activity (review here) has gone before the MPAA, and a rating has been handed down.
Wow. What a road. Tonight rumblings began regarding the release of Oren Peli's Paranormal Activity (review here). Some sites are touting a release date as early as September 25th, 2009. Could it be?
Back in 2006, an aspiring reporter took you Behind the Mask (review here) to introduce you to a psycho slasher named Leslie Vernon whose singular goal was to eclipse the pantheon of the great slashers to come before him.
I wasn't quite as big a fan of Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (reviews here) as some of the folks in the Dread Central offices, but I'm still pretty stoked to hear that a sequel is possibly in the works.
Finally the film that inspired Quarantine, REC (review here), is getting a US DVD release of its own on July 14, 2009, and the sequel we've all been waiting for got its very own website. It's a good day to be a REC fan!
Another image surfaced today for the sequel to the shocker that was [REC], and of course we have a look at it for you! Thankfully this time it's nice and nasty!
