After the release of Christopher Smith’s 2009 haunting boat trip gone wrong flick Triangle, I was a bit surprised to hear that for his follow-up he was heading to the medieval time period for Black Death, which can be described as Black Hawk Down meets Wicker Man (and not the Nic Cage version either).

While I personally thought that director Christopher Smith’s impeccable filmmaking run took a stumble with Triangle, he came right back on form with Sean Bean in his newest release, Black Death, which lands on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK in a scant couple of weeks courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. It's gonna be a good old fashioned witch hunt at the Fantasia Film Festival 2010 when Chris Smith's latest film Black Death spreads its plague and we've got two new stills to get you down with the sickness!

We have always wanted a clip from someone's death, be it black or otherwise. I mean if only out of morbid curiosity. What's that? Oh, this is for the movie? Well ... okay then!

With health care being a raging topic nowadays, I think we should all take a moment to be thankful that we're not living way back when plagues, leech treatments, torture devices, and doctors who believed more in magic than they did medicine were commonplace. Though leeches are still kind of fun. They make really sweet squishy noises, too.
