In celebration of the lunar eclipse on the evening of June 26th and in anticipation of the theatrical release of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse just four days later, Summit Entertainment is inviting everyone across the nation to "Twilight Night," a 12-city event including free outdoor screenings of Twilight and/or The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

It's official. The Twilight Saga craze is alive and well and growing exponentially with each new release. The Twilight Saga: New Moon sold just over 4 million DVD units in its first weekend of release, surpassing the first weekend sales of its predecessor Twilight, which sold 3.8 million DVD units.

With the DVD and Blu-ray release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon just a few short weeks away (at 12:01 AM on March 20th to be exact), its director, Chris Weitz, has been making the interview rounds, and today came word that as far the Breaking Dawn installment is concerned, he thinks someone else should probably take the job.

Summit Entertainment has decided to change things up a little with regard to its Blu-ray and DVD release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Instead of the typical Tuesday when most new home videos come out, they're going with 12:01 AM on March 20, 2010 – a Saturday street date that will allow for fans across the nation to celebrate at retailers' midnight release parties before taking the film home.

Just when we thought the news stories about The Twilight Saga: New Moon were done for a while, they keep pulling us back in! This time it's Chris Weitz who's to blame as the director is revealing ten "easter eggs" that you may have missed when viewing the film, five of which are only available via an application for the iPod touch and iPhone.

Now that The Twilight Saga: New Moon has debuted to record-setting box office numbers and its follow-up, Eclipse, is being readied for a June 20, 2010, release, all eyes are turning to Summit Entertainment and what the execs there are planning for the final chapter in the Saga: Breaking Dawn. Will it be one movie or two? And whom will the studio tap to direct?

Screaming chicks! Long lines! A very wisely placed sale on Kleenex tissues! Millions of tormented men forced to go to the movies as a means to maintain their relationships! What could this all mean? A new Twilight film in theatres of course.

We knew it was going to open big, but The Twilight Saga: New Moon opened stronger than even its biggest fans had predicted. $140.7 Million domestically plus another $118.1 million from 25 territories across the globe, breaking records in the US, Australia, and New Zealand.

It's finally here -- the opening weekend of The Twilight Saga: New Moon (review here), and it's already shattering box office records. Reports are that New Moon set a new high for opening midnight show grosses with an estimated $26.27 million playing at 3,514 theaters for a per theater average of $7,476.

It's that time again! All the little girls of the world are jumping around like they have to take a bathroom break, bursting with anticipation for the day when their dear Edward slow walks across the big screen again, all slack-jawed and lazy-eyed like the vampire equivalent of Garfield.

As mentioned a couple of days ago, The Twilight Saga: New Moon was well on its way to setting a new record with Fandango for advance ticket sales, and the film has indeed achieved that milestone. But if you haven't bought your tickets yet, don't be discouraged; theater owners are still adding screens and posting new showtimes online.
