This one is probably more thriller than horror, but the synopsis does say "mysterious" events occur, and once we got a look at the genre-heavy cast members, we figured we'd share the new teaser trailer for Human Factor that landed in our inbox today and send ol' 2011 out with a bit of social consciousness.

Just what is it with all these "Buffy" folks involving themselves in projects that feature evil twins? Hell, even Xander has gone that route, but at least he's the only one who really has a twin! Either way ... more sales art!

We're just a few days away from a big "Buffy" reunion on "Supernatural" of all places as Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters show up as a married couple with some big problems - the type of problems the Winchesters specialize in. In 1987 the horror genre was dominated by the slasher fad of that decade. Zombies were mostly something seen only in Italian gorefests with the name Fulci attached. Ghosts and supernatural films were few and far between. Vampires ... well, vampires had been neutered and reduced to whiny flouncy boys by the likes of Anne Rice.

Anyone who has ever had to tango with a bite-happy denizen of the undead can easily confirm one thing ... killing vampires is serious business. And while our Frog Brothers will be doing their best keeping the bloodsuckers at bay on Blu-ray and DVD on October 12th from Warner Bros., they're going to need a hand. That's where YOU come in!

There's really no reason to assume that Lost Boys: The Thirst will be any good. Not after the debacle of The Tribe, anyway. But I was sold by the trailer that promises the return of the Frog Brothers, and if it can deliver on its promise of the further adventures of these vampire hunters, well, I'll be a satisfied customer.

You know what we have outside our windows here at the Dread Central offices? Civilization. That's what. We've seen way too many movies where things have gone horribly awry because vacationers thought it would be cool to camp out in the middle of nowhere, and there's another one coming our way!
