More Casting News for The Following as James McDaniel Joins the FBI

Most recently he’s appeared in “Orange Is the New Black,” but for most of us James McDaniel will always be thought of as Lt. Fancy from “NYPD Blue.” Now he’s about to join the FBI on “The Following.”

Per TV Guide, McDaniel will play Agent Ken Phillips, who heads the FBI’s task force in New York City. It’s likely that his character will team up with Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) as a replacement for Agent Deb Parker (Annie Parisse), who was killed in the Season 1 finale.

McDaniel joins the previously announced new cast members Sam Underwood (“Dexter”) and Connie Nielsen along with the returning Kevin Bacon, Valorie Curry, Shawn Ashmore, and James Purefoy.
