So often, women are simply seen as walking wombs that need to follow their biological imperatives to carry and have children. But, what happens when a woman goes to drastic measures to force herself to comply with what society deems as the right thing? Director Alexis Jacknow explores just that in her feature film debut, Clock, coming exclusively to Hulu.

Read the full synopsis below:

Clock follows Ella as she caves to outside pressure and the disappointment of her husband Aidan and father to have kids. She pursues an experimental treatment to “fix” her motherly instincts. Led by Dr. Simmons, the treatment unleashes ghosts from Ella’s family’s past that torments her as she does whatever she can to live up to everyone’s expectations.

Watch our exclusive clip below where Ella explains her frustration with everyone’s obsession with her biological clock.

Clock is based on Jacknow’s short of the same name that was part of the first season of 20th Digital Studio’s “Bite-Size Halloween.”

Dianna Agron stars in the film as Ella alongside Jay Ali, Saul Rubinek, and Melora Hardin.

Clock comes exclusively to Hulu on April 28, 2023.
