In honor of the release of Eli Roth’s 2003 Cabin Fever onto Blu-Ray, as well as the 2009 sequel Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever’s initial release onto DVD, Dread Central found this to be the ideal time to catch up with the star of the original, Rider Strong.

Noah Segan may not be a household name quite yet, but if his career keeps moving at the breakneck pace he has enjoyed over the last several years, it’s only a matter of time before the word is out on this genre up-and-comer.
This week's 100% horror DVD and Blu-ray releases are very much on the skimpy side so we've included a few items that, while not strictly genre fare, are close enough that we thought they should at least be on the radar of our readers. But first here's a look at the pure horror (in more ways than one).
With the surprisingly okay despite its problems Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever (review here) hitting DVD next Tuesday, it's only right to offer our readers a little bit of the red stuff to get you geared up!

Barely 29 years old, editor/writer/director Ti West has accomplished what many older directors can only dream about - having four feature films under his belt. And more to come. His most recent credit is the period piece 1980s horror flick The House of the Devil, and he has been receiving the sort of accolades that those more seasoned directors can also only salivate over.
With the release of Ti West's controversial sequel to Eli Roth's debut feature, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, dropping next month onto home video, Lionsgate has released some stills to hopefully get you sweaty with anticipation.
Cabin Fever. Horror fans fell into three groups: Those who loved it. Those who hated it. And those who were confused by the mullet-haired karate kid and his burning desire for pancakes. With all that behind us now, the trailer for Ti West's controversial sequel Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever has debuted, and we have to say it looks pretty badass.
A double dose of Cabin Fever news for you today! Lionsgate has just released the specs and art on Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever and word has broken that the original film will be hitting Blu-ray early next year. Gettin' itchy yet?
The story of Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever is a strange one indeed. According to director Ti West Lionsgate seized control of the sequel and recut the film without his approval. West was going for a John Waters feel or Todd Solondz style (which I assume means lots of perverse sex and disgusting bodily fluids), but the studio had other ideas.
Cabin Fever 2 has been threatened for so long, you have to wonder whether or not it actually exists. It seems like we’re getting closer to seeing the long-delayed sequel to the 2002 Eli Roth film, but the question today is whether or not it’s actually worth seeing. If director Ti West is to be believed, it doesn’t sound like it.
Two more stills splattered online from Ti West's follow-up to Eli Roth's debut feature, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Break, and things are looking appropriately gooey!
