For those of you in the UK who sadly missed the pleasure of catching Rodrigo Cortés’ fantastic Buried on the big screen, you won’t have to wait too long to have your living room become very, very small indeed. Courtesy of Icon Home Entertainment, the flick will be landing on British shelves on February 14th, 2011. Synopsis:

It didn't make much of a dent at the box office, but for those who did see it (critics and fans alike), Buried provided an intense tour de force performance from star Ryan Reynolds. Now it's Trembles' turn to weigh in on the film with his Motion Picture Purgatory review. Synopsis:

Yeah, kiddos. With Buried on the brain now that it’s been lowered into theaters, we thought it’d be fun to look back at some of the worst moments in characters’ lives in the history of stuffy cinema.

This weekend Lionsgate is tripling the number of theaters showing Buried. Did you catch it when it opened a couple of weeks ago in very limited release? If not, here's hoping that a theater near you is showing this film because it's a pretty intense experience.

Here we are just the second week into October, and again we have three brand new terror tales in theatres vying for your hard earned horror-loving greenbacks! So what's it gonna be? The 3D slasher? The buried alive flick? Another day of the woman? Maybe all three?

September 23rd, the first day of Fantastic Fest 2010, is already just a memory, which is why it's good that we've gotten ahold of a few photos from the opening night festivities.
