Featuring Maika Monroe and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as you’ve never seen them before, this is going to be the feel-bad film of the summer and we can’t wait. Detective Bob Hightower (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) finds his ex-wife murdered and his daughter kidnapped by an insidious cult. Bob takes matters into his own hands and infiltrates the secretive cult to try to save his daughter. With the help of the cult’s only female victim escapee, Case Hardin (Maika Monroe), Bob and Case go down the rabbit hole with The Ferryman (Jamie Foxx) to save his daughter and find closure for Case from the cult—and its maniacal leader (Glusman)—that took so much away from her.
Based on the 1999 novel by the same name by Boston Teran, God Is A Bullet was inspired by an experience Teran had in Thailand. According to Collider, he saw a man write something on a wall and the translation was “God is a bullet right to the head. You start to feel better the minute you’re dead”.

God Is A Bullet comes to theaters on June 23, 2023 from Wayward Entertainment. It expands to a digital release on July 11, 2023.
