This past week Boston was witness to the 11th annual Boston Underground Film Festival, which kicked off on March 19th and ran until the 26th.

Reviewed by Johnny Butane Starring Mike Cleven, Glen Matthews, Kristin Slaney Directed by Jason Eisener “Brilliant” isn’t a word I like to use a lot when it comes to reviewing horror; very few films can boast all the right elements to be granted such a distinction, but Jason Eisener’s follow up to the Grindhouse-award winning film “Hobo With a Shotgun” cannot, with any fairness, be called anything else.
Tomorrow night kicks off this year’s Boston Underground Film Festival in a very sick, twisted, and joyously demented way: with a screening of Frank Henenlotter’s latest body horror opus Bad Biology!

It was a strange experience arriving totally alone at the Fantasia HQ in the early afternoon of July 3rd to pick up the press pass this year. Just me, Paul McCannibal, and some tumbleweeds blowing through the city centre of Montreal.
