Bubba Nosferatu

While working on his latest feature John Dies at the End, the great Don Coscarelli took some time recently to update fans on what type of progress (if any at all) has been made regarding the two films fans want more

Just yesterday we reported that Don Coscarelli has joined the Twitterverse and has been teasing a new project. Well, the man has not stopped, and today more has come direct from the horse's mouth regarding just what this new film could be.

Okay, so nobody's really breaking spines but ... It's been a good long while since last we talked about Don Coscarelli's sequel to Bubba Ho-Tep lovingly titled Bubba Nosferatu: Curse of the She-Vampires.

This morning the guys at AICN had an interview with Paul Giamatti up in which he announced that Ron Perlman was looking to fill the blue suede shoes of Elvis Presley in Don Coscarelli’s Bubba Nosferatu. We told you about it cause we love you, and now we have official word from Bubba Nosferatu writer Stephen Romano on the casting!

I just don’t know how I feel about Ron Perlman in the shoes of The King, or the shoes of Bruce Campbell for that matter, but according to a recent interview with Paul Giamatti over on AICN, that’s who’s interested in filling out the jumpsuit for Bubba Nosferatu.

It may not be much, but I see it as a good sign that things are moving forward for Don Coscarelli’s planned Bubba Ho-Tep prequel, Bubba Nosferatu.
