Horror History: Happy Birthday, JURASSIC WORLD Star Bryce Dallas Howard!

On this day in horror history, Bryce Dallas Howard was born in Los Angeles in 1981. She is the daughter of Willow, Ransom, and Apollo 13 director Ron Howard.

Howard broke on the scene in M. Night Shyamalan’s vastly underappreciated fright flick The Village. He followed it up with the… odd Shyamalan film Lady in the Water.

She then broke into bigger action movie roles. Her first was as Gwen Stacy in The Evil Dead director in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3. Then McG’s Terminator Salvation.

For the record, she also starred in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. If, you know, you’re into that sort of, you know, thing.

She has also starred in a new classic episode of Netflix’s Black Mirror. And she directed multiple episodes of the hit Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian.

I think most people know her for her role in Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. She will return soon in the third and final Jurassic flick, Jurassic World: Dominion with Chris Pratt, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum

Jurassic World 3 wrapped in November. The “unprecedented” shoot required 40,000 COVID tests and also cast and crew isolated in a bubble for months. Trevorrow directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Emily Carmichael, based on a story by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly. Trevorrow will also produce with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley. Steven Spielberg serves as executive producer.
