Oh, Sorority Row, how you let us down. Most of us went in hoping/expecting it would live up to its R rating with boobs, blood, and a big finale. Instead, we got (as Nomad wrote in his Sorority Row review) "a butt-numbing experience, watching the ladies be picked off in the lamest ways possible (save one shining moment that is too little, too late)." Now it's Trembles' turn to weigh in.

Sorority Row's Briana Evigan Talks Bousman's Mother's Day Remake
Dread Central hit the press junket for Summit Entertainment’s upcoming Sorority Row Sunday in Beverly Hills (and while spoilers are embargoed till the film’s release on September 11), we did talk with Sorority Row lead and horror vet Briana Evigan (who has previously appeared in the genre films S. Darko and House of the Damned, among others) regarding her upcoming role in filmmaker Darren Lynn (Repo!

See the Opening Scene from Sorority Row
Sorority Row is shaping up nicely. From its attractive cast to its hard R rating, the slasher fanatic in me is grinning from ear to ear. I'm really pulling for this remake to get everything right since the original film, while very enjoyable, could be improved upon. Today we've got a groovy (and truncated) clip to help whet your appetite.

*Update* Exclusive: Two Mother's Day Casting Updates
Two more lovely vixens (or are they would-be victims?) have signed on to Darren Lynn Bousman's upcoming redux of Charles Kaufman's 1980 cult classic Mother's Day, one of which should come as no surprise given her previous working relationship with the director. Yes, Alexa (Repo!) Vega is joining the production, as is Sorority Row's Briana Evigan.

Carrie Fisher Joins Sorority Row?
I’ve really been trying to avoid any and all mention of Sorority Row, the remake of the little-seen 1983 slasher House on Sorority Row, but this casting news is just too strange not to mention.

Step Up 2 Sorority Row
I must confess that I've never seen the original 1983 House on Sorority Row so I cannot fully feign contempt for the remake soon going into production other than my usual ongoing annoyance with Hollywood's war on originality. Things are shaping up for the remake with the announcement that Step Up 2 The Streets hotty Briana Evigan has signed on to play the lead.

Hot Daughter of Evigan Burning Bright
Here's the pitch: A 20-year old girl and her autistic little brother find themselves trapped in their house during a raging hurricane as well as by the man-eating tiger that has invaded their home.
My reaction: This is going to be a Lifetime Network original movie, right?
