It seems that Trembles decided to do what a substantial number of other horror fans did (judging by box office receipts): basically ignore Rob Zombie's Halloween II and just move on. And so, instead of piling more venom on H2, this week's Motion Picture Purgatory tackles the testosterone-fueled Gamer.

Gamer (2009)
New Gamer Trailer Wants You to Play to Live
As a gamer, the new trailer for Lionsgate's Gamer, starring Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall, makes me wish such technology would be possible. Can you imagine actually controlling another person to do whatever you want? Of course I'd just keep my dude going to In-N-Out Burger for me, but still!

Gamer TV Spot Hits the Net
It may be on the fringe of horror, but we're still throwing our support behind Gamer. With Neveldine/Taylor, Gerard Butler, and Michael C. Hall all involved, how can we not?

Gamer One-Sheet and Trailer

UPDATE - SDCC 08: Crank 2 Update!
UPDATE: According to Crank scribe Mark Neveldine, Troma's Lloyd Kaufman will have a cameo in Crank 2 along with Gelnn Howard ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") and someone we thought bit the big one in the first film, Efren Ramirez.
Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor made probably one of the most underrated movies of 2006, Crank. It was tasteless, bloody and funny. Sadly, we all thought Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) was a goner when he fell a few thousand feet and smashed into a car.

WB Ressurects Mr. Hex
When you have a character named Jonah Hex, you really can’t make it without some supernatural elements, can you? I mean, the name itself implies magic in its most wicked form.
