Hardly anyone expected Fox's Rise of the Planet of the Apes to do any sort of well at the box office, but it did and in the process recaptured the imagination of fans everywhere. Of course a sequel is on its way, and thankfully the man who really brought everything together is back on board!
When I wrote my review of Shark Night 3D, I described it as a movie that would probably play much better on DVD than in theaters because it really didn’t offer up enough to justify paying premium 3D theatrical prices. We’ll all get to find out if I’m right when it surfaces onto DVD and Blu-ray just after the New Year.
