VIZ Media has announced that Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired the live-action feature film rights to the hit manga and anime property Bleach, created by Tite Kubo.
Graphic novels (or in this case Japanese manga) have been the single most popular bits of source material for Hollyweird these past few years, and the trend shows no signs of slowing down. Not just content with having a big screen version of Akira on the way, the house of the bunny has another trick up its sleeve!
It's a Foy-a-palooza this week with several releases that have his name all over them like Beast Within, Mutants (not the French film of the same name), Night Watcher, and Sand Serpents. Mixed in with those are the more promising sounding Dark Mirror and a four-pack of Hitchcock classics that includes Suspicion, Strangers on a Train, The Wrong Man, and I Confess.
We've already made you guys aware of the Xbox LIVE series of short films called Horror Meets Comedy, and now comes word that animated action series Bleach and Death Note (both Uncut and English dubbed) are available via LIVE as well.
