‘Black Swan’ Meets ‘Perfect Blue’ In Exclusive ‘Woman Of the Photographs’ Clip

Woman of the Photographs

Social media obsession, particularly in a world dominated by the Instagram grid and video snippets of #aesthethic lives, will drive someone crazy. Before directing films, Takeshi Kushida saw the obsession with image and making yourself seem perfect while working in the fashion industry. So he took that experience to write and direct his first feature film Woman of the Photographs.

In the film:

Solitary and skilled photographer Kai is afraid of women. When he encounters a beautiful model, Kyoko suffering from body dysmorphia, they begin a twisted romance. Kai is determined to save Kyoko from her anguishes, even if it means death to himself.

We have another exclusive clip that showcases the film’s influences from Perfect Blue to Black Swan, placed squarely in a world where Instagram is king.

Watch our exclusive clip:

Hideaki Nagai and Ituski Ôtaki star in the film.

Woman Of The Photographs is out now on digital and VOD.
