Casting for NOTLD: Origins Coming Together
A source close to the pre-production goings-on of Zebediah de Soto's Night of the Living Dead: Origins called in with some exclusive updated casting news that makes the 3D "American anime" sound better and better all the time. Mos Def is confirmed as Ben, and four more parts are in the final stages of negotiation.

Dread Central at the 2009 Chiller-Eyegore Awards and Halloween Horror Nights

Halo-8 Reveals Godkiller DVD Art and Specs
The other day we reported that the release date for Matt Pizzolo's Godkiller "illustrated film" was being pushed back a week to October 6th due to the quantity of retail orders Halo-8 had received for the DVD. We should all have such problems, right? In any event, to help fuel our anticipation, the company has debuted the box art and special features that await us on October 6th.

Dead Air Wafts Home in October
Even though it's been awfully quiet lately, there's finally some movement on Corbin Bernsen's zombie opus Dead Air to talk about. Looks like the flick will be coming home on October 27th, and soon you'll be able to pre-order your copy along with some other goodies including a limited edition, hand-numbered mini-poster autographed by director Bernsen by hitting up the official Dead Air site here.

SDCC 09: Repo! Shadowcast Pre-Recorded
So last night I attended the Repo screening here at Comic Con. It was a packed show and on top of that they agreed to let me stream the whole thing LIVE. With only 45 minutes advanced notice the performance managed to pick up over 900 viewers online! Not only was there members of the cast on hand but it was also the final performance to be filmed for Spooky Dan's Repo documentary. Check it out below!

Dead Air to Screen Both Sides of the Atlantic
Attending guests of the Cannes and Fangoria film festivals will be able to attend sneak peek screenings of Corbin Bernsen's Dead Air over the coming months. Featuring genre star Bill Moseley as well as Patricia Tallman (Lyta, from Babylon 5!), the film describes the fire and chaos following a biological terrorist attack that causes infected citizens to turn on one another in a murderous rage.
