All Hallow’s Eve approaches, and so does the supposed swan song of the Saw series. In what has become a Halloween tradition, the Saw movies have offered a funhouse ride filled with puzzles, contraptions and harsh Old Testament judgment. Made the wrong choices in life? Viral marketing has changed the way that things get done and sometimes help situations take an absurd twist for the hilarious! Case in point ...

Having just premiered a movie about a killer ice monster stomping around the Arctic Circle, Syfy is now off to greener pastures - the jungle to be precise - with their next offering, Mandrake (originally titled Unearthed). Syfy has just made available three clips showcasing Betsy Russell (Saw III-3D), Max Martini ("The Unit"), and Benito Martinez ("The Shield") in the jungle battling bloodthirsty tree monsters.
In case anyone has been buying the line of Saw 3D being the last film in the franchise, we have some fresh copies of both Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter and Freddy's Dead with your names on it!
Just yesterday I told you about over a dozen forthcoming Syfy monster movies. So what's one more? This one is called Unearthed and pits bride of Saw Betsy Russell against murderous half-plant/half-animal monsters.
Saw VI brings us back to Jigsaw land ... along with whom ever isn't dead yet and those unlucky enough to fall into the newest, insidious traps. Do we take off right from where the last film lets off? My Jedi mind powers fail me as Betsy Russell and Costas Mandylor were tight lipped.
We’re only a few months away from the triumphant return of Costas Mandylor, and if you’re dying to find out more about the mysterious Saw VI, the San Diego Comic-Con has PLENTY of material to help tide fans over until Jigsaw’s latest caper hits theaters this fall.
I can’t deny that I’m pretty excited to see what first-time director David Hackl does with his first entry in the Saw series, Saw V. I really enjoyed the fourth one a lot more than the rest, and I hope that's an indication of a series upswing.
