For those of you out there who missed the first season of UK mini-series "Being Human" on BBC America, make it your business to watch it on demand if you can. The show was a powerhouse of good old fashioned horror that played like a completely supernatural version of "Three's Company" but with tons more bite. Like all good things from overseas ... an American version is now on the way.

New Triffids Gets Big Casting
A remake of Day of the Triffids is being prepped for production in the UK, and this morning Variety reports that a huge slew of stars have signed on for the project including Brian Cox, Eddie Izzard, Jason Priestly, Dougray Scott and Vanessa Redgrave.

You may recall a while back we gave you a heads up about a new show being produced for the BBC called “Being Human”; the story of a vampire, werewolf and ghost co-habitating in an apartment in London. While the premise sounds ripe for wacky hijinks, the actual execution was smart, funny and engaging.
