Buffalo, NY-based Buffalo Nickel Productions is in production on a trio new feature films: Decayed, Banshee, and Frankenstein’s Patchwork Monster. Emil J. Novak, co-founder of the Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival, is the driving creative force behind all three films.

One flick we've been looking forward to for a while now is the Evil Dead inspired Aussie horror-fest from the Krypto Brothers, Damned by Dawn. In a world where so many cool looking flicks go without distribution, it's bitchin' to see one actually nail the ever elusive beast down.

I, like many, am a big fan of the original Sam Raimi classic The Evil Dead. The flick and its sequels have gone on to inspire many a filmmaker over the years, and this latest Aussie flick is no exception.

Definitely the biggest DVD release this week is the After Dark Horrorfest box set with, if not eight films worth dying for, at least a couple that are worth your time; and the fun of the thing is figuring out which ones they are. But that's not all that's coming out March 23rd; read on for the rest.

The dreaded loudmouth of the monster world -- the Banshee -- is getting its turn at tearing apart teenagers for our amusement in the new flick titled cleverly enough Banshee!!! (review here).
