Armie Hammer Ain’t Afraid of No Freakshow!

Armie Hammer has joined the ranks of Freakshift, the upcoming action horror/thriller from director Ben Wheatley, according to Deadline. Hammer joins Vikander, who starred in Ex Machina and is currently filming the video game-to-film adaptation of Tomb Raider.

Per the site, the film follows, “…a band of misfit cops who hunt down and kill nocturnal underground monsters.” Vikander will supposedly play the lead protagonist in the film with Hammer playing her love interest. Additionally, they write that, “Wheatley wrote the script with Amy Jump, and Wheatley’s longtime producer Andrew Starke produces via their Rook Films banner.

Hammer and Wheatley worked together in Free Fire, which stars Brie Larson, Cillian Murphy, Sharlto Copley, and Jack Reynor. It comes out in theaters on April 21st via A24.
