Trick 'r Treat Direct to DVD?

While I hope this turns out to be just a rumor, unfortunately there’s too much validity in it to ignore. The STYD guys heard from one of their readers today that, since Warner Bros. have no plans to release Mike Dougherty’s Trick ‘r Treat in theaters, there’s a good chance we’ll only be seeing it on DVD.

UPDATE: Trick 'r Treat NOT Back With Warner Bros!

**UPDATE: All right, we just got 100% confirmation from Warner Bros that they will NOT be releasing Trick 'r Treat. So I guess it's back to square one as the film looks for distro... it was fun while it lasted, though, wasn't it? ** I don’t want anyone getting too excited until we get something 100% official from Warner Bros, but a source very close to Michael Dougherty’s Trick ‘r Treat just dropped us a line with a look at the brand-new poster for the film!

Sexy True Blood Poster

Yes, there's more to this poster for the upcoming vampire series “True Blood”, but what more do you really need to see? Sexy lips, sexy tongue, just the right amount of plasma ... yep, that’s good enough for me.

Trick 'r Treat Still Searching for Studio

It’s not the good news we’ve been hoping for, but it’s close; Over the weekend the folks over at Moviehole talked to Trick ‘r Treat director Mike Dougherty, who gave them a very quick update on the status of his Halloween-set horror flick;

Trick 'R Treat in October? Maybe.

Hey! Remember that flick by Michael Dougherty that we were so excited about this year ("Exclusive: Trick 'r Treat Set Visit!" - April 2007)? Remember when it was supposed to come out this past Halloween, but went missing?

HBO Picks up True Blood

When we last told you about the series “True Blood” (“Paquin, Moyer to Wallow in Blood” – April 2007), apparently it wasn’t even a series yet but rather just a pilot with the hopes and dreams of being a series.

Exclusive: Trick 'r Treat Set Visit!

The first time I ever visited Vancouver was to visit the set of Wrong Turn 2. It was warm, the city was great and we could spend as much time outside as we wanted.

Paquin, Moyer Wallow in Blood

There’s not a lot Anna Paquin (pictured) can do that I won’t follow her to. For some reason I’ve always had a huge crush on her, especially as the super damaged Rogue in the X-Men movies, and until she’s doing romantic comedies I’ll be keeping an eye on everything she does.

Quartet to Treat

I guess when you’ve got a name like Bryan Singer producing you flick, it’s easy to afford some big name (and big talent) stars.
