We're all waiting patiently for September to roll around, which brings with it the release of Focus Features' animated fantasy, 9. In the meantime, we've got a look at the final one sheet and a host of promotional material that should tide you over until the Shane Acker directed fantasy goes into limited release on September 9, 2009.

Canadians are getting a special horror treat this week. According to HorrorMovies.ca, Peur(s) du Noir (Fears of the Dark) is set to premiere in Toronto at The Royal on March 6th.

It didn’t do any kind of business to speak of at the box office, so I guess it’s not surprising that MGM isn’t dumping a lot of effort into the DVD release of Igor. MGM announced today that the disc will be out on January 20th and won’t have a helluva lot on it.

One deal that seemingly slipped through the cracks at this year’s AFM was Halo 8’s acquisition of James Farr’s animated Xombie series for both theatrical and DVD release. It’s all right because they just sent out official word with all the details.

On October 24th IFC Films will release the animated horror sensation Fear(s) of the Dark (review) in select theaters across the country. It will be, if nothing else, a very unique way to spend the Friday before Halloween, so I hope for your sake it’s playing near you.

A few weeks back myself and some of the East Coast Dread crew, including Nomad and the fantastic Heather Buckley, hit up the New York Comic Con to get our horror mugs filled to the brim with info. Just the other day we reported on a rumored adaptation of the small press title The Anubis Tapestry: Between Twilights from Bruce Zick that might be coming from Blue Sky Studios (Horton Hears a Who, Ice Age). This morning Variety confirmed and clarified the rumor, so we shall do the same!
