For his feature film debut Rites of Spring, writer/director Padraig Reynolds blends a heist gone wrong with a creature feature set in rural cornfields, and the results feel like The Wicker Man, Jeepers Creepers and Reservoir Dogs got together and made out for 81 minutes.

One of the finest actresses working in independent film these days has to be Anessa Ramsey, who stole genre fans' hearts a few years back as Mya in the psychological thriller The Signal, which debuted at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.

It seems like the journey for those involved with indie horror flick YellowBrickRoad has been a long and arduous one, but all the hard work has paid off. Not only did the film recently get a limited release in AMC theaters courtesy of Bloody Disgusting Selects, but it also just celebrated its home video release this week onto DVD shelves everywhere.
