Today we've got a little more information straight from Caesar himself, Andy Serkis!

Andy Serkis is single-handedly creating a new art form. The man who portrayed Gollum in the Lord of the Rings films, Kong in King Kong ('05) and most recently Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes (Blu-ray/DVD review here) has brought CGI performance to a new level.

Hardly anyone expected Fox's Rise of the Planet of the Apes to do any sort of well at the box office, but it did and in the process recaptured the imagination of fans everywhere. Of course a sequel is on its way, and thankfully the man who really brought everything together is back on board!

Thirty years after his horror comedy An American Werewolf in London put him on the genre map, director John Landis is back with his latest project, Burke & Hare, an incredibly dark comedy surrounding two down-on-their-luck 19th century graverobbers (played by Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis) who realize that a local medical school will pay handsomely for fresh cadavers. Being resourceful entrepreneurs, Burke and Hare start causing 'accidents' around Edinburgh in order to fulfill the need for bodies, which eventually spirals out of control in both hilarious and dramatic fashions.

The blockbuster box office surprise of the year, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, continues to kick ass all over the country and - SURPRISE - the sequel chatter has begun.
