Andrew Bryniarski to Celebrate Mother's DaySome interesting word came down today regarding Darren Bousman’s remake of Mother’s Day. It seems the cast has filled out a bit. Quite a bit even. Andrew Bryniarski, whom fans will best know as Thomas Hewitt AKA Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, has joined Bousman’s cast in what is said to be a “mysterious role”. I’m thinking Queenie! Read on for more!

From the Press Release
Horror icon Andrew Bryniarski is set to appear in the remake of the cult horror film “Mother’s Day,” which began filming September 8, 2009.

Bryniarski, best known for his role as Leatherface in “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (2003) and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning” (2004), has been designated for an undisclosed role in Mother’s Day.

“Given Andrew’s iconic status in the horror-thriller genre, we wanted to give him a special part that will intentionally be clouded in mystery until the film is released,” said Curtis Leopardo, executive producer of Mother’s Day and founder of LightTower Entertainment.
“We don’t want to spoil the surprise for avid Texas Chainsaw fans, but we’re thrilled to bring Andrew on board for what will certainly become a dark and mysterious role,” said Leopardo, who along with industry executive Cara Marie launched a talent management branch of LightTower Entertainment and are managing Bryniarski.

The Mother’s Day cast currently consists of Rebecca De Mornay, Deborah Ann Woll, Jaime King, Shawn Ashmore, Briana Evigan and Alexa Vega. The film is being directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and produced by Rat Entertainment’s Brett Ratner and Jay Stern; Genre Co.’s Richard Saperstein and Brian Witten; and LightTower Entertainment’s Curtis Leopardo.”
