DIAL M FOR MURDER Anthology Series in the Works with Alicia Vikander

Alicia Vikander (Tomb Raider) joins a new anthology series that will reimagine the Alfred Hitchcock classic Dial M for Murder from the female perspective.

Vikander will star in the first season which, like FX’s Fargo, will introduce a new story and new characters each season. A network is not yet attached.

Hitchcock’s film tells of a man who wants to have his wealthy wife murdered and comes up with the perfect plan to kill her. But when the carefully-orchestrated set-up goes awry, the husband must outwit the police and avoid detection.

Created by Michael Mitnick (The Giver) Terrence Winter (Boardwalk Empire) will executive produce with Vikander, Charles Collier, Andrew Mittman, and Lloyd Braun.

The classic thriller already got a big-screen reboot back in 1998, with Andrew Davis’ A Perfect Murder starring Michael Douglas and Gwyneth Paltrow.
