Watch the First 18 Minutes of Tales of an Ancient Empire

Albert Pyun's long gestating Tales of an Ancient Empire has been picked up for distribution by Liongate, but apparently the version we'll all be able to see starting January 24th isn't exactly the director's own vision for the film so he's decided to release the first 18 minutes of his cut for comparison's sake. A Sneak Peek of Roxy Gunn Performing in Road to Hell

As we told you at the end of October, director Albert Pyun finished filming the final scenes of his Road to Hell at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, including two music performances with The Roxy Gunn Project, and now he's sent over a raw production track of Roxy's performance of "Nowhere Fast".

New Teaser Art for Cyborg: Rise of the Slingers

Director Albert Pyun dropped us a line with an update on his upcoming Cyborg: Rise of the Slingers (formerly Red Moon) and included a bit of teaser art for us to share. He's in the process of nailing down the project's lead actress and promises to reveal that info next week along with the full cast roster.

Albert Pyun's Post-Apocalyptic Red Moon Gets a New Title and Updated Artwork

Director Albert Pyun dropped us a line with an update on Cyborg: Rise of the Slingers (formerly Red Moon) noting that he's leaving the sword and sorcery elements behind and instead will be adapting the loose prequel to his 1989 Jean-Claude Van Damme vehicle Cyborg into the steampunk universe. He also included the film's revised artwork by Rob E. Brown.

This past weekend, October 29th and 30th, Albert Pyun finished filming the final scenes of his Road to Hell at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, including two music performances with The Roxy Gunn Project, and he's sent over several photos from the shoot for us to share. He's also included the new, longer promo trailer Daniel Gutierrez edited for AFM.

Though Jean-Claude Van Damme has made some truly classic films over the years, one of our favorites, the much maligned Cyborg, has always stood out from the pack, if only for its badass villain and inherent strangeness. Now, decades after the film's release, a new cut has been located, and from what we understand, it is home to a lot of violence that was cut by the MPAA.

Infection 2 to Commence Production in Late March

One of the earliest (and best) cinéma-vérité films to cross our desks was Albert Pyun's 2005 one-take wonder Infection, which was renamed Invasion (review here) for its DVD release, so you can bet our ears perked up today when we learned a sequel is on its way!
