It's no secret The Signal (DVD review) is a big-time favorite here around the Dread Central offices, and millions of fans have thoroughly enjoyed getting themselves a taste of The Crazy. Part of what made that film so memorable were the performances of AJ Bowen and Scott Poythress as Lewis and Clark.
Here at Dread Central we are big fans of both director Ti West and actor AJ Bowen. Well, actually in Bowen's case we're mainly fascinated with his beard, but anyway, to have them both working on one flick? That's what we call good stuff! We'd go to Tribeca for this film alone!
We've been keeping a close eye on the progress of Ti West's The House of the Devil, and now finally we have a taste of the fruits of his labors. The trailer for the film has just shown up on The House of the Devil's official site, or you can save yourself some clicking and just scroll down to check it out.
Did you really think we'd let the holiday season come and go without at least one more edition of Dinner for Fiends? Well, maybe. There is jack-shit goin' on horror-wise but we delivered anyways!
As you may have noticed, I got a chance to check out the new film starring The Signal’s Lewis, A.J. Bowen and From Dusk Till Dawn sheriff Michael Parks, Maidenhead. The off-kilter vampire movie is definitely unique and although the poster you see below may make it seem like a Odd Couple-esque comedy, trust me when I say it’s anything but. Keep it here for more on Maidenhead soon!

Now this is just a badass poster. I know it’s simplistic and maybe doesn’t tell you much about the film (what poster does nowadays?), but that’s the reason I love it so much; it fits the mood of Ti West’s House of the Devil perfectly.
So The Signal (DVD review) has been out on DVD for a while now, and if you’re like any other fan of the film, I’m sure you’ve already plowed through all the extras on the disc to make sure you have the full picture of what it was like to make this groundbreaking indie masterpiece.
I really can’t wait for Ti West’s House of the Devil; it just sounds like so much damn Satanic fun, which you have to admit is the best kind.
Do you have the crazy? No? Believe you me, you WANT the crazy! The Signal still remains on many fans' top films of the year list and with good reason -- it kicks ass! Know what that means right? Time to give away stuff!
Just got a heads up from the folks at Dark Sky Films that Ti West’s 80’s-era House of the Devil has officially wrapped! Wow seems like just the other day we were putting up a story about it being announced…
More good casting news came down today for Ti West’s upcoming House of the Devil, which is currently in front of cameras.
Towards the end of our most recent Dinner for Fiends (hear it here), I managed to squeeze some info out of our guest star, A.J. Bowen (pictured, sans beard, from his latest film Maidenhead), about his upcoming role in Ti West’s House of the Devil, a movie he seems very happy to be doing.
Just a few weeks back we gave you guys the first word on a new film being produced by and starring The Signal’s A.J. Bowen (“Signal Star Talks Maidenhead!” – January 2008), and today those badasses over at Icons of Fright have the first look at the film’s gorgeous trailer!
