All right, it’s been a long, hard road but finally our celebrity judges have settled on the winners in our “8 Shorts to Die For” short film competition, brought to you by After Dark Films! The winning video, the creator of which will be receiving a 120G Video iPod pre-loaded with previous Horrorfest entries, is MJ Dixon’s “Eye Spy”! Huge congrats to Dixon, now dig the movie below!

Hey, a heads up for y’all; the official site for the After Dark Horrorfest III has been updated with preliminary theater listings with more set to be added every single day. So far the list isn’t bad; but I'm guessing by the time the 9th rolls around it’ll be huge.
We’re up to Year 3 of Horrorfest’s 8 Films to Die For series, and this time around they’re including a bonus release of digital music downloads. After Dark Films is working in conjunction with Primary Wave Special Markets in releasing the first branded soundtracks for the horror festival.
Just in case you missed it or weren’t paying attention, the submission process for our “8 Shorts to Die For” contest is officially closed. Done. Finitio. It is no more! Now is the time where you, the fan, vote for your favorite shorts of the 16 submitted! The number will then then whittled down even further and our celebrity judges will determine the final 8!
For reasons that should be pretty obvious, I like the new poster for Voices, the final film After Dark has chosen for next year’s Horrorfest, running January 9th-15th, 2009. There are some similarities to artwork that’s very near & dear to us that makes me smile.
With the 2009 After Dark HorrorFest literally right around the corner, all sorts of exclusive goodness has been oozing its way online. The latest chunk? The final poster art for Perkins' 14. FEARnet scored the first look at this very retro poster and I have to say, I dig it.
